Abstract: This research examines the impact of collaborative learning on adult education outcomes. The study aimed to investigate how collaborative learning approaches affect the effectiveness and success of adult education programs. The objectives were to assess the impact of collaborative learning on knowledge acquisition and retention, to evaluate the influence on learner motivation and engagement, and to identify the benefits and challenges associated with collaborative learning in adult education. A survey research design was chosen to collect data from various adult education programs employing collaborative learning strategies. A sample size of 320 adult learners and educators was selected to ensure diverse insights into the outcomes of collaborative learning. The purposive sampling technique was used to target participants involved in collaborative learning environments. The case study was conducted in Imo, Nigeria, where collaborative learning practices were widely implemented. Findings revealed that collaborative learning positively impacted adult education outcomes by enhancing knowledge retention, increasing learner engagement, and fostering a supportive learning community. The study recommended expanding the use of collaborative learning strategies in adult education programs and addressing challenges such as group dynamics and coordination to maximize the benefits.
